Alan J. Bontya inspecting displayersA.J.B. Enterprises roots in business go back to 1975. After graduating college with a Business Administration major, Mr. Bontya opened his first business in 1975. This company was called Natural Reflections, and was a manufacturing company of rustic tables. Clocks, mirrors, and lamps were later added, and all products were sold retail at flea markets, craft shows, and to special order customers.

Business continued to grow, and in 1980, Natural Reflections had purchased its first established company. Mr. Bontya took the opportunity to buy the nationally known wholesale company, Sculptured Woodcraft, and his company would now be known by that name.

Sculptured Woodcraft now opened the door to established wholesale accounts. More novelty gift items were now being manufactured. Figurines and night lights were added to their clocks and mirrors. A national sales force with representation from coast to coast helped the business grow.

CK-3 DisplayerSculptured Woodcraft took steps forward to buy its second established company in 1982. Mr. Bontya purchased Natural Designs, a company very similar to his own. Natural Design manufactured tables, and this purchase help build its inventory of both finished products and raw materials.

The 1980's set Sculptured Woodcraft in motion to be a national wholesaler, but the bulk of sales came from their retail department. Christmas mall shows was the venue set up to retail products. For two months (Nov. 1st - Dec. 31st), they would set up kiosk booths in the mall aisles. Sculptured Woodcraft did their first mall in 1981, and added additional malls over the decade throughout Florida, Georgia and Texas.

CK-5 DisplayerSculptured Woodcraft began to design their display stands around 1985, and in 1988, Mr. Bontya wanted to make some major changes to his company. He wanted to specialize in one product, and display stands would take the company in a new direction. They stopped manufacturing all of their gift items. They also changed their entire sale rep organization. A new national sales force was in place in every major market with a new product line. Now was the time to change the company name.

CK-1 DisplayerA.J.B. Enterprises of Florida, Inc. was the new company name, manufacturing its new product line of display stands. A.J.B. started with five stands, and now have twenty one stands in their line. During the 1990's, many sales reps have come and gone, and new marketing avenues have kept the company moving forward as one of the top manufactures of display stands in the nation.

Since 1975, A.J.B. Enterprises of Florida, Inc. has gone through many changes, but its president/owner, Alan J. Bontya, has kept the company moving in the right direction. They look towards the twenty first century as an opportunity to reach many new friends and customers.
